Story of our cow-cheese Grande do Viso.

At MiAM we work day and night (ok maybe not at night) to bring the best biological, seasonal, local groceries we can find around Portugal. When it comes to cheese we want to have the BEST cheese ever because well… it’s cheese, it’s perfection, we need it every day 🧀

When we meet Maria from I’M CHEESE we knew this was the type of cheese we were looking for… After traveling around Europe and gaining enough know-how from the world, Maria decided to create her own company: I’M CHEESE. Inspired by everything she had learned and tasted abroad, she created an artisanal, hand-made cheese like no other in Portugal.

This artisanal pasteurize cow cheese was created to be a BIG cheese (at least when compared to Portuguese traditional cheese), and only uses Portuguese cow milk. This cow cheese has an elastic texture, a fruity flavor and a little spiciness to its taste. Washed in Portuguese red wine this cheese also has a vey Portuguese traditional taste.
